Cooking With Emily Dump Cake

Ingredients:
1 (18-ounce) package yellow cake mix
2 sticks butter, diced
1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
¼-1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Vanilla Ice Cream

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Dump undrained crushed pineapple into the bottom of a greased 13x9 baking dish, spread it out evenly. Using a spoon, dump globs of cherry pie filling evenly on top of the crushed pineapple. Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the cherry and pineapple layers. Arrange diced butter slices over top of cake mix, sprinkle nuts on top. Bake for 1 hour. To serve, (best if still warm), scoop cake out like a cobbler and ladle a serving of vanilla ice cream over.
