Mocha Ganache
Ingredients:
1 (6-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup strong coffee (leftover from breakfast)
2 T. butter
¼ cup heavy cream
1 t. vanilla
Instructions:
In a saucepan, melt chocolate and coffee together over medium heat until chips are melted. Remove from heat, add butter, cream and vanilla; stir to combine sauce. Excellent over vanilla ice cream or Southern Sour Cream Pound Cake (see this month’s recipe)! Refrigerate leftovers and reheat for easy drizzling over your favorite dessert. **Change it up a bit! Substitute vanilla extract with orange or mint extract for a twist on a chocolate treat.
