Chili Party Bowls

Ingredients:
½ lb. ground beef
½ lb. ground sausage
½ cup onion, chopped
1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
2 T. oil
2 t. minced garlic
1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans, drained
1(14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (6-ounce) tomato paste
2 t. chili powder
1 t. salt
½ t. pepper
1 cup water
2 (12-ounce) cans refrigerated biscuit dough
1 (8-ounce) bag shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions:
In a pot, brown beef and sausage in oil with onion and jalapeno until meat is browned. Add garlic, beans, tomatoes, paste, chili powder, salt, pepper and water. Bring ingredients to a boil, cover and simmer over low heat 25 minutes; until sauce has thickened.
While meat mix cooks, prepare biscuit cups. Remove biscuits from casing. Flour counter and roll each biscuit into a 6-inch round diameter. Turn 2 muffin pans upside down and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Place each of the biscuits over the top of the muffin tray forming a “cup” over each muffin tin. Bake biscuits 15 minutes. Remove biscuit tray and allow cups to cool 10 minutes. Fill biscuit cups with chili mix and top with shredded cheese.
