Bananas Foster

Ingredients:
1 stick butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 bananas peeled and halved lengthwise
1/4 cup dark rum
Vanilla ice cream

Instructions:
Melt butter in a large skillet. Add brown sugar and stir together until butter is melted and a golden sauce is formed. Add the bananas and cook until caramelized over medium-high heat; 3-5 minutes. Slowly pour in the rum from a measuring cup. *Never pour alcohol from the bottle over a flame. To flambe and make a great presentation, light the pan with a match. Stand back when ignited. Let flame die down, then scoop bananas and sauce over a bowl of vanilla ice cream.
