Oriental Chicken Casserole
Ingredients:
4 cups cooked, shredded chicken
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
¼ cup soy sauce
2 T. lemon juice
1 ½ cups celery, chopped
1 ½ cups onion, chopped
2 T. butter
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 (8-ounce) package twist macaroni noodles, cooked
1 small can French’s fried onions
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a sauce pan, sauté onion and celery in butter until tender. In a large bowl, combine soups, soy sauce and lemon juice. Stir in cooked veggies, chicken, water chestnuts, noodles and half the container of fried onions. Pour into greased casserole and bake 25 minutes. Remove, sprinkle remaining fried onions on top and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes.
